It was a new dawn for AMWIK as a new board was ushered into office amid pomp and jubilation during elections held on 17th April 2010.  Many were the expectations from members and so were the assurances and pledges from the new board. This is what they have to say for the task ahead;

Sylvia Machini (Chairperson & Senior Lecturer: Multi Media University College):

I’m excited and thankful to you all for according me this opportunity to serve you for a second time. I kept my promise and I will keep serving. I welcome all board members. In everything, there are winners and loosers. I believe the voting process was transparent. My competitor Mildred lost the election but I assure her that we will work together; I will see how we can work together.

Sandra Ndonye (Vice Chairperson& Manager, Media & Development at Internews-Kenya): I’m very happy and ready for the work ahead. I don’t see any challenges because I see opportunities.

Dorah Nesoba (Treasurer &: Senior Programme Officer, Institute of Public Accountability): I’m grateful to you people who believed in me as their new treasurer. I believe in team work. We will work together.
