Radio Producer Scoops AMWIK Scholarship Award PDF Print E-mail

Radio producer Josephine Sirega became the fourteenth beneficiary of the AMWIK scholarship fund.

Ms Sirega, a radio producer and presenter for Royal Media Services (Ramogi FM) thanked God for the award which has seen her enroll for a B.A. in Gender and Development studies at the University of Nairobi.

Josephine also holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from The Kenya Institute of Mass communication and has been an active member of AMWIK involved in the production of programmes on the Sexual Offences Act and women’s right programmes for AMWIK.

Some her current radio productions include the women’s voice, also known as duond mine and children and feature programmes on the girl child known as Siwindhe.

She has also worked as a consultant for organizations such as The League of Women voters in Kenya in the production of programmes addressing women’s issues.

“I have a heart for women and children and that’s I like producing programmes that address issues affecting them,” says Josephine.
